Because it's a place for mid-Missouri to meet, talk, share and learn. Our goal is to have a place online that is easy to talk and share. We also hope it's a place where you feel open to talk about your thoughts and join in on conversations with others.

It's great to see our community continuing to grow. I've spent a lot of time lately trying to check in with most of our member of this network and looking for better ways to help KOMU communicate with the public. For one thing, you'll notice we're trying to develop more effective ways to deliver information throughout the day as KOMU's journalists report the news. I've been out of town since last Friday and I am amazed by the number of people who have joined KOMU's social network. I will make a point to say hi to each and every one of you. But I wanted to check in - let you all know that I'm thrilled to see this community growing.

Please let me know if you have questions about this site... Or let me know if there's something going on around town that we might want to know about. I'm just hoping I'll get back into town to great weather!

It's so awesome to see how many people are joining KOMU"s social network. Most of you are joining to add a calendar event... What would you be interested in here? We have groups. You can share photos and pictures. You could post a blog (like I'm doing right now).
